My website is not retro

I called my website, a retro website in the previous introduction on homepage, but after thinking about it, and seeing the real Geocities websites on restorativland.org. I came to the conclusion that my website is not "retro" and resonates more with the indie category. The old websites on Geocities were built on the table attribute of the HTML, whereas my website is built on the modern attributes such as flex.

In my opinion, to call a website retro it should be made with the retro technology to get the real feel of the design and functionality. You can absolutely mimic the retro functions with the help of modern technology. But there is no historical accuracy in code, if we use modern attributes. After learning about this, I tried to rewrite my website by using the table attribute; and I will not do that torture to myself again.

It took me an hour to convert my homepage into a retro style. I wrote all the code by myself, and it was time consuming to make a "real retro" website than whatever this site is. There can be a reason for that, maybe I am not familiar with the table attribute compared to the modern attributes, so that can be a factor too for the slow development speed. You can see the end result of that retro homepage here.

I can definitely say that, making static websites are easier now. I can rewrite this whole website in an hour using modern attributes, and it can also be more responsive than the old retro websites. Although I don't care about the site's responsiveness on the mobile phones. I think websites should be made to be viewed on the computer only. The word "retro" from the homepage introduction is removed now, and I'll not be categorising my website for some time.
