Lassi is a refreshing drink for hot summers in India. Every state has its unique flavours and way of preparation. It is prepared with yogurt and water.
Ingredients
- 250g of full fat yogurt
- Salt and black pepper (according to taste)
- Dried mint leaves
- 200ml of water
Instructions
- Take full fat yogurt in a big jar or mixer and add 200ml of water.
- Add salt, black pepper and dried mint leaves and mix/whisk it until the foam starts forming at the top and the water is completely mixed with the yogurt.
- If the drink is too thick you can add more water.
- It shouldn't be watery or thick, the consistency should be like milk or smoothie.
Tips
If you have a sweet tooth, replace the salt, pepper and mint with sugar/jaggery.
You can store it in the refrigerator, but the stored lassi can't beat freshly prepared lassi in terms of taste and texture, so always drink freshly prepared lassi. It only takes 5-10 minutes for preparation.
